Hurricane Katrina animal rescue
A dog which had been left in an empty apartment jumped through a second story, glass window trying to escape upon the arrival of Pasados Safe Haven volunteers two weeks after Hurricane Katrina. The residents had apparently moved all the furniture out, but left the dog behind to guard the aparment. Many anoimals were found in empty apartments. © Karen Ducey
